Thank you so much. I am honored to accept this award on behalf of our business community and our members. To be named a finalist again, and now to be standing here on stage a year later, is something we don't take for granted.
Before I say another word, I want to celebrate the other finalists honored tonight. Laura and your team at Go Kennebunks, and Quincy and the team at the Portland Regional Chamber; congratulations! Ours, and every other chamber in this room, serves its community in its own way, shaped by the place it calls home, and it is a privilege to be in such good company.
We're rural, we're small, and we're a long way from the big city of Portland. But since 1955, this chamber has done one thing really well: show up for the people who make the Rangeley Lakes Region work, in every season, not just the busy ones. We are honored to help continue that work.
This award really belongs to our team. I have the honor of working alongside Lisa, our office manager, and occasionally Marie. We are a full-time team of just two, and I will put our productivity up against anyone in this room. Small but mighty doesn't even begin to cover it.
I also want to recognize our Ambassador Team. We are in our second year of this program now, and our ambassadors have connected thousands of visitors to the experiences, resources, and businesses that make the Rangeley Lakes Region unforgettable. I could not be prouder of what we've built.
And to our board of directors: thank you. You are incredible and supportive, and we are so grateful that you're willing and able to donate your time to make our community stronger.
Now, since I have a captive audience, I would be remiss if I didn't take this moment to invite each of you to visit us. Come see us in Rangeley. We can recommend a great place to stay, something to do, and where to grab a bite to eat. And you might be thinking, "I'm not going to get a great meal all the way out there in the sticks." Well, you couldn't be more wrong. Rangeley has a thriving restaurant scene, and we would love to point you toward a great meal. Just stop by the Visitor Center downtown, and we'll take it from there.
