INTRODUCTION

The RuKaBi Race will be on Sunday May 28th 2023 at 10:00 AM. This event is Sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce. To reserve a rental kayak, please contact Rangeley Adventure Company/ECOPELAGICON at 207-864-2771. No bike rentals, must provide own Bike.

Release of Liability and Terms & Conditions

Release of Liability
In consideration of the acceptance of this registration entry, I, the undersigned, assume full responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur at any time during my participation in this event. I hereby release and hold harmless the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Rangeley Health & Wellness, The Fitness Center, the Town of Rangeley, the sponsors, promoters and all other entities and persons associated with the event or their agents or employees, or otherwise.
I will not enter and participate in this event unless I am physically healthy and capable of performing the bike, kayak and run activities. I assume all risk associated with this event, including but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather and the conditions of the route and any and all other risks that may exist.

For parents of minors under the age of 18 years - I hereby certify that my son/daughter has my permission to participate in the Rangeley RuKaBi Race event and any related events, is in good physical condition and capable of performing the run, kayak and bike activities and that event officials have my permission to authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary. Registrants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult to register.

Terms & Conditions

If Registrant supplies his/her own equipment (kayak and bike), Registrant must also bring and wear a suitable personal flotation device (PFD) for the kayak portion of the race and a suitable protective helmet for the bicycle portion of the race. If Registrant is renting a kayak, bicycle or both, the relevant safety equipment (PFD and/or helmet, depending on equipment rented) will be included with the rental.
Registrant hereby grants permission to the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Rangeley Health and Wellness to use any photographs and video recordings, or any other record of this event, for any legitimate purpose, including but not limited to marketing and advertising.
The Rangeley RuKaBi Race is a "rain or shine" event and will be held regardless of weather conditions, unless conditions are such that participants’ safety would be in jeopardy (e.g., lightning). Event officials will make that determination as soon as practical and get the word out.

Disqualifications:
Disqualifications will be determined at the sole discretion of event staff and include, but are not limited to:
o Any Registrant who does not have and/or use a PFD (for the kayak portion of the race) and/or a protective helmet (for the bicycle portion of the race)
o Individuals in poor/questionable health that might put them at risk during the event
