Rangeley Rocks ME - "Stacking" event
July 3rd, 2021 at NOON in the Alley beside the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St in Rangeley.
Come and participate in the stacking of the cairn of "Rangeley Rocks" - rocks that have been painted and submitted to the RFA and waterproofed. "Travelling" rocks will also be displayed and will be ready for pick-up to begin their journey.
Rangeley Rocks is a Geo-tagging activity where rocks are decorated and waterproofed with a label on the back referencing a Facebook Group where photos can be posted. Then rocks are picked up and taken away to new locations by anyone willing to photo their rock and post it to FB. The Large Rocks will be "Stacked" into a cairn, and the smaller rocks for travelling will be left at the base of the cairn available for pick-up by anyone.
