The Maine Forestry Museum regrets to announce the cancellation of our 40th Annual Logging Festival in light of state regulations and for the health and safety of all our members, volunteers, competitors, and visitors. We look forward to seeing you all in 2021!!
The Maine Forestry Museum is proud to announce the 36th Annual Little Mr. & Miss Woodchip Contest along with music, and light refreshments immediately following the contest.
Every boy or girl ages 6 to 8 is welcome to sign up for the contest. Contestants may sing a song or recite a poem; they may choose a favorite or write their own. (Other performances, such as dancing or playing a musical instrument, will not be accepted toward the competition.) Every Woodchip contestant receives a prize. Winners will ride in the Maine Forestry Museum Parade on Saturday, July 18th, and will be introduced at the Festival immediately after the parade. All other participants are invited to ride in the Maine Forestry Museums barrel train in the Parade. To enter children in the contest, please contact Liz Pimentel at (917-836-1632).
*All contestants must have a parent or guardian sign a Maine Forestry Musuem release form.*
*Admission is $5.00 and children under 6 are $1.00.*
