Jeff Seaberg, local representative for the United States Census 2020, will be holding a meeting at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, January 29th, at 6:00 PM for anyone interested in working for the 2020 Census. According to the official Census website, “Federal funds, grants and support to states, counties and communities are based on population totals and breakdowns by sex, age, race and other factors. Your community benefits the most when the census counts everyone. When you respond to the census, you help your community get its fair share of the more than $675 billion per year in federal funds spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs.” So, not only would you be paid $20 per hour plus $0.58 for mileage for being a Census taker, but you would be helping Rangeley and the surrounding communities by making sure that all of our people are counted.
If you think you might be interested in helping with this effort, please come to the meeting at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29th at the Rangeley Public Library to find out what you need to do to be a part of the 2020 Census team. For more information, call Jeff Seaberg at 339-933-2533.
