Visit the museum and learn about the history of forestry in Maine. See our beautiful paintings by Alden Grant depicting life during the early days of logging; wonderful dioramas by David Barten; old logging photographs and tools; watch one of our wonderful short films on the early days of logging; view the large equipment in our outdoor pavilion and much, much, more....

Indoor children's activity area along with our beautiful walking trails around the museum grounds.

Come visit us for a unique, fun and educational experience! The Museum is open:

Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm until September 1st. (Closed July 4th)

Thursday to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm from September 5th until October 6th.

Our last days of the 2019 season are Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 4 pm October 12th & 13th, Columbus Day Weekend.
