Tune up your backcountry skills with a Wilderness First Aid Coures!
WFA is a two-day course focused on general medical concepts and basic life support skills. This course is perfectly suited for outdoor enthusiasts and seasonal outdoor staff and will prepare them with the medical skills they may need in the front- or backcountry. This course will be taught by SOLO instructor, Jeremy Robichaud.
The course will cover:
Patient Assessment System; CPR; Circulatory System; Nervous System; Respiratory System; Fractures, Stable Injuries; Splints 1-Extremities; Hypothermia; Hyperthermia and Heat Illness; Near Drowning; Lightning Injuries; Wounds and Burns; Anaphylaxis; Lifting, Moving Extrication; Patient Carries; Backcountry Medicine
Cost: $160 for WFA, $50 for CPR (Note: WFA Cerfitification is dependent on valid CPR certification)
Time: 8 AM – 5 PM. CPR certification will occur Saturday evening.
