AFTER SCHOOL ARTS PROGRAM INFORMATIONAL MEETING
The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is implementing a new program – the CREATIVE AFTER SCHOOL ARTS program (CASA)- for middle and high school students. There will be an informational meeting for families who would like to learn more on May 22 at 6 PM at the RFA Lakeside Theater on Main St. Volunteers will be on-hand to talk about the program and answer questions; registration forms will be available.
CASA will begin in September of 2017 for grades 6-12. It will coincide with the 40 week school year, from September to June, during after school hours, Monday through Friday, until 6 PM at the Theater. CASA will be staffed by a qualified employee managing the daily operation. There will be dance and movement workshops, WRGY will work with students interested in broadcasting and engineering, volunteers will provide workshops in theater performance and operations, music and performance, instruments, graphic art, fine arts and design, digital media, creative writing and community service. There will be a nominal fee per semester and scholarships will be available. At CASA the boisterous extrovert and the shy introvert will feel at home in our diverse and accepting environment.
