On Aug. 21, 2017, American skywatchers will be treated to a rare and spectacular celestial show — the first TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE visible from the continental United States in nearly four decades.
Unfortunately, in Rangeley we will only observe a Partial Eclipse....but that is still pretty cool!
Our eclipse will begin at 1:28 p.m. Be at maximum at 2:43 p.m. (56.1% of the Sun will be occulted by the moon) and end at 3:54 p.m.
So why not join us for a cruise as we observe the eclipse (weather permitting) as well as common loons and possibly bald eagles on Rangeley Lake.
Passengers need to bring their own protective eyewear.
Cost: $35/adult, $10/child (2-10 yrs old)
Special Note: Save your cruise ticket! You can redeem for a free seat on our next Total Solar Eclipse Cruise that will occur in Maine on April 8, 2024
