Back to the Banks: 1st Annual Banked Slalom at Saddleback Mountain

Back to the Banks is the 1st annual snowboard banked slalom event at Saddleback Mountain! Join us for this timed snowboard-only race on Grey Ghost consisting of berms and turns that will challenge riders. Best time counts. Come on and ride! This event is open to all ages. $40 entry fee plus discounted lift ticket.

Prizes for the top 3 riders in each age group! After the race and awards, join us for an after-party with THE MALLETT BROTHERS BAND!

Racing Categories

• 13 & under boys/girls combined
• 14-17 boys
• 14-17 girls
• 18-29 men

Schedule

• 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. - Check-in / bib pick up
• 9:30 a.m. - Riders meeting at top of course, followed by course inspection
• 10:00 a.m. – First rider drops, youngest to oldest, ladies first
• 12:00 - 12:20 p.m. - Pause for course maintenance
• 12:30 p.m. – Second runs start, youngest to oldest, ladies first
• 3:00 p.m. – Awards at the base, about 30 minutes after the last rider finishes

Registration & Fees

$40 racer entry, plus a discounted lift ticket if you don't have a season pass. No registration/check-ins will be taken after 9 a.m. on Saturday Due to the nature of this event, competitors are required to have a season pass/lift ticket in order to compete. If spots are still available, day-of registration for the event will take place from 8:00 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Race Rules

Each participant must wear a properly fastened snow sports helmet during all event practice, inspection, and competition. Know your limits (skill and ability levels). Best of 2 runs; 1 missed gate results in a disqualified run.
