Each year, two scholarships totaling $3,500 are
awarded to graduates of the Rangeley Lakes Regional School, based on their
financial need, academic achievements, and a record of volunteer and community
service.
Since 1996, the scholarship program has been funded by
tax-deductible contributions from visitors to, and seasonal residents of, the
Rangeley Region. Since there are no administrative expenses, every dollar
donated is used to benefit worthy students.
The program is administered by Heidi Deery,
Rangeley Lakes Regional School's Student Services Director;
Scott Gesualdi, Town Treasurer;
Leeanna J. Wilbur, Manager of the Rangeley branch of the Franklin Savings Bank;
and a representative of the Seasonal Friends of Rangeley. Visitors to and
seasonal residents of the Rangeley Region are invited to send tax-deductible
contributions to P.O. Box 1181, Rangeley, ME 04970. You will receive a receipt
for tax purposes.
