John Hooper is scheduled to visit OSHM as part of the museum's “Saturday Summer Series” on Saturday, July 15th from 10-3. Hooper is a multi-ribbon winning carver specializing in relief carvings and sculptures in wood that uniquely capture the essence of wildlife and fish of the Great North Woods of Maine. Living at the edge of Maine's 100-mile wilderness on the shores of Rangeley Lake give him an opportunity to observe wildlife up close and personal. Come see how he brings Maine's animals to life in his beautiful wood carvings.
