Lt. Taylor, USN was flying his 68th combat mission in Vietnam when his A-4 Skyhawk was shot down in the Mekong Delta. His remains were not recovered until 2013 and in 2015 were interned back here in his beloved hometown of Rangeley. On Independence Day, the Historical Society will be honored to share mementos and artifacts in a new exhibit sharing the story of this true hero.
