Northfield, an a cappella group based in Farmington, will perform a concert on Friday, May 12, at 7 PM at the Congregation Church on High Street in Rangeley. They have been singing together, in varying line-ups, for over thirty years, and have appeared all over Western Maine and beyond.
The evening's program is themed on “love” - with the repetoire drawn from the sacred and popular music of Renaissance and Medieval Europe well as the early American shape-note tradition.
They include: Mardie Porter, Mark Paddock, Dan Simonds, Dan Woodward, Joan Quinn, Margaret Cox, Vicky Cohen, Jess Isler, Josh Grams, James Nicholas and Laurie Hatch.
There is no set admission fee – your at-will donations will be gratefully accepted. The concert is sponsored in part by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts.
